Passing The Unworked Field (24"x 24")

Passing The Unworked Field  is a 24" x 24" x 1.5" original acrylic painting on a gallery wrapped canvas which I have wired for easy hanging. I paint the edges of my paintings so framing is completely optional. Each painting has a glossy varnish finish for protection, is signed on the front, and signed and dated on the back. Mary Oliver was one of my favorite poets who recently passed away earlier this year and I wanted to pay tribute to her beautiful wisdom which she shared with the world. So, for every painting in this collection "Lost in the Garden", I have selected a poem from Mary Oliver which I feel is deeply connected to the painting and have written it on the back of the canvas.
 
This collection of paintings is all about letting yourself get truly lost in the natural world around you. Whether it's through taking in a large beautiful landscape or studying the smallest details of a field, both activites can ground you in a feeling of awe and being present in where you exist in the world.
